Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how the Rike mobile application (“Rike,” the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the App.

Rike is a minimalist, one-day-at-a-time life management tool that provides a daily overview, task management, habit tracking, quick expense recording, hydration tracking, and customizable reminders.

Rike is designed according to the principles of data minimization and local-first privacy. The App can be used without registration, login, or the creation of an online profile.

2. No Account or Identity Collection

Rike does not provide or require an account system. You are not required to register, sign in, or provide your name, email address, phone number, government identifier, or other identity information to use the App.

We do not create user profiles and cannot identify individual users through their use of Rike.

3. Information Collection and Local Storage

Rike does not collect or receive personal data from the App. Information that you voluntarily enter into Rike may include:

• Tasks, notes, completion states, and daily overview entries;
• Habit names, schedules, and check-in records;
• Income and expense amounts, categories, descriptions, and dates;
• Hydration goals and drinking records; and
• Preset or customized reminder preferences and times.

All such information is stored exclusively in the App’s local storage area on your device. It is not uploaded, synchronized, or transmitted to any cloud server or developer-operated system.

The developer of Rike cannot view, retrieve, restore, or otherwise access the information you enter into the App.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

Rike does not collect or transmit:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials;
• Financial account, payment-card, or banking credentials;
• Precise or approximate location;
• Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data;
• Device or advertising identifiers for tracking purposes;
• Browsing history or activity in other apps;
• Usage analytics, behavioral data, or diagnostic profiles; or
• Tasks, habits, expense records, hydration records, or reminders.

We do not use information stored in Rike for advertising, marketing, analytics, profiling, automated decision-making, or any other off-device purpose.

5. Device Permissions and Local Notifications

The only system permission requested by Rike is permission to display local notifications.

Local notifications are used solely to provide reminders that you enable or configure, such as hydration reminders, lunch reminders, stand-up and movement reminders, evening reviews, task reminders, and other preset or customized reminders.

These notifications are scheduled and triggered entirely on your device. Rike does not use a remote push-notification server and does not collect, store, or transmit Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device tokens or equivalent push-notification identifiers.

Notification permission is optional. You may deny or revoke it at any time through your device’s system settings. Disabling notifications prevents reminders from appearing but does not prevent you from using the App’s other features.

6. Third-Party Services, Analytics, and Advertising

Rike does not integrate third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking technologies, data brokers, or data-exchange services.

We do not track you across apps or websites. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, device fingerprinting, advertising identifiers, or similar technologies within the App.

We do not sell, rent, license, share, or disclose your personal data or locally stored App content to third parties.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

The records you create remain in local storage on your device until you choose to delete them.

Rike provides a “Clear All Local Data” function within the App. You may use this function at any time to permanently delete all Rike records and settings stored in the App’s active local storage on that device.

Uninstalling Rike also removes the App and its active local storage from the device, subject to the normal behavior of your operating system. Because we do not maintain server-side copies, no additional deletion request to the developer is required.

If you have independently enabled an operating-system or device backup, a backup copy may be retained by the applicable platform provider under its own backup settings, retention rules, and privacy policy. We do not receive, access, or control such backups.

8. Your Privacy Choices and Control

You remain in control of your Rike data. You may:

• Choose what information to enter into the App;
• Edit or delete individual records within the App;
• Use “Clear All Local Data” to delete all locally stored records;
• Uninstall the App to remove its active local storage;
• Enable, disable, or customize individual reminders; and
• Revoke notification permission through your device settings.

Because we do not collect or possess your App data, we have no personal data about you to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete in response to a privacy request.

9. Data Security

Rike reduces privacy and security risks by keeping your information on your device and not transmitting it to developer-operated servers. Locally stored information is protected by the security mechanisms and application sandboxing provided by your device and operating system.

The security of local data also depends on your device settings and practices. We recommend using a strong device passcode, enabling appropriate device security features, keeping your operating system updated, and preventing unauthorized access to your device.

No electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children’s Privacy

Rike does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other users. The App does not require a child to provide a name, email address, phone number, age, account identifier, or other identity information.

Parents and legal guardians are encouraged to supervise children’s use of the App and their devices where appropriate.

11. App Store and Platform Services

Your download and use of Rike may involve services independently provided by Apple, Google, your device manufacturer, your telecommunications provider, or an operating-system backup provider. Those parties may process information required to operate their app stores, devices, networks, or backup services.

Such processing is governed by the respective third party’s own terms and privacy policy. It is not performed by or under the control of Rike. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Rike application and the developer’s practices.

12. International Data Transfers

Rike does not transmit your locally stored App content to us or to developer-operated servers in any country. Accordingly, we do not transfer that content across national borders.

Any processing independently performed by an app store, operating-system provider, or backup service is governed by that provider’s own privacy practices.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if Rike’s functionality, data practices, or applicable legal requirements change. When we make changes, we will publish the revised policy and update the effective date displayed at the top of this page.

If a future version of Rike begins collecting, transmitting, or sharing data, we will revise this Privacy Policy and provide any notice or consent required by applicable law before using the data for a new purpose.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
